WHO THE HECK AM I AND HOW DID I END UP HERE?
Velecia L Williams is a Real Estate Professional that currently lives in Columbia, SC. She has lived there for 7 years after living in California for 5 years. Prior to that she lived in Atlanta, GA for 15 years. She is originally from Dover Air Force Base in Dover DE.
Velecia began traveling as a child. It was nothing for the family to travel up and down the east coast by car. As a single parent, a road trip was visiting her mother by way or Greyhound or Value Jet. At times she would take her children to Florida or Virginia and sit through a 2 hour timeshare tour just to give her children fond memories to hold on to.
In the early 2000s Velecia embarked on her first business venture. As she loved sales, she would start side businesses with products and offer top tier customer service. She was approached a few time about several travel businesses. but because the start up costs were more than $200, she had to decline over and over, not saying NO, just NOT RIGHT NOW.
In 2014 she was approached by two other online companies to start a business. Velecia no longer wanted a product business. It was too much inventory to keep up with. She knew that she and her current husband loved to travel and definitely wanted to save money, so she chose the travel business. Coincidently a milestone birthday was approaching. She went on her Facebook page and asked if anyone knew of a travel agent. Lots of people reached out. She chose to go with her classmates' wife. He said that she is a travel agent and he was trying to help her grow her business because he wanted her home with the kids. Impressed by his marketing, she told him to have his wife contact her. She took Velecia' s travel request and asked her to standby. 15 minutes later, Mrs. Morris came back to Velecia with a quote and something EXTRA. Mrs. Morris said, " Velecia, I don't normally do this. But what if I told you that I am going to make a commission from booking your trip, would you be interested out finding out how?" Velecia' s response was "ABSOLUTELY!" So, Because Mrs. Morris was not a person who normally explains the business, she got Velecia on the phone with her sponsor's sponsor to explain it. After Velecia heard the information, she knew that it was a no brainer. Velecia was ready to start immediately and booked her own trip receiving a commission and more. How EXCITING is THAT?
Today in 2023, Velecia has traveled to many destinations and has told thousands about this business. She and her friends and family are all S.M.A.R.T Travelers. You and YOUR friends and family can be too!
